Troubleshooting
Common issues and quick fixes for Audio Flashcards.
No audio during review sessions (Android)
If card audio plays when opened individually but not during review:
- Press the hardware volume buttons during a review to confirm media volume.
- Pull down the system tray and check that playback is on the media stream.
- Disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
- Restart the app and try again.
Text-to-speech voices not showing
On-device voices must be installed before they appear.
- Go to Settings > Text-To-Speech > On Device.
- Add at least one voice and set Side Correspondence.
- Return to your folder and try creating a TTS card again.
CSV import stuck at 0%
CSV import relies on a configured TTS voice.
- Confirm a TTS voice is selected in Settings > Text-To-Speech.
- Try a small CSV first (two columns: front, back).
- If the file is large, split it into smaller batches.
Search is not finding my audio cards
Search indexing uses speech recognition.
- Go to Settings > Speech Recognition.
- Set your language and run Recognise and Index Files.
- Try searching again after indexing completes.
Autoplay feels too slow or too fast
You can tune timing in Settings > Autoplay:
- Time Between Cards adjusts the default pause.
- Wait Factor multiplies pause time based on your answer.
- Fixed Wait sets a consistent delay for each step.
Continuous loop review
Enable Loop in review options to repeat the session after the last card.
Cards not syncing across devices (iOS)
iCloud sync is required for cross-device access.
- Verify iCloud is enabled in Settings > iCloud Status.
- Confirm you are signed in to the same Apple ID.
- Check internet connectivity and retry.
Importing existing audio files
Bulk audio import is not supported yet. Use CSV + TTS, or see the manual import guide in the Developer section.
